›Is this GST invoice maker really free?
Yes. There is no login and no limit. The invoice is made in your browser and nothing is uploaded or saved.
›When does it use CGST + SGST and when IGST?
If the place of supply is in the same state as the seller, GST is split into CGST and SGST. If it is another state, the full GST is IGST. The place of supply comes from the buyer's GSTIN, or the state you pick. A customer with no GSTIN is treated as a local sale unless you choose another state.
›Does it check the GSTIN?
Yes. It checks the 15-character format, the state code and the last check character, so most typing mistakes are caught.
›Which GST rates can I use?
0%, 5%, 12%, 18% and 28%, set on each item.
